Student Union Atrium Renovation Wright State University Student Union Atrium Renovation Project for Wright State University located at 3640 Colonel Glenn Hwy Dayton, OH 45435. This project is estimated at a cost of $921,391.00 for General Base Bid and $426,150.00 for Alternate #1 Restroom Upgrade. Bidders may submit requests for consideration of a proposed substitution for a specified product, equipment, or service to the Architect/Engineer ("A/E") no later than 10 days prior to the bid opening. Prevailing Wage rates and Equal Employment Opportunity requirements are applicable to this Project. The EDGE Participation Goal for the Project is 5.0 percent THE SCOPE OF THE PROJECT INVOLVES A REFRESH OF FLOOR AND CEILING FINISHES AS WELL AS LIGHTING THROUGHOUT THE MAIN CORRIDOR OF THE FIRST FLOOR. TWO (2) SPACES WILL BE RENOVATED: A GROUP RESTROOM (NO CHANGE OF PLUMBING COUNTS), AND AN OUTDOOR TERRACE. ADDITIONALLY, A NEW KNEE WALL IS BEING ADDED IN THE ATRIUM TO SUPPORT THE INSTALLATION OF A NEW VIDEO BOARD (BY OWNER) Prior to submitting a bid, the Plumbing Contractor shall perform a detailed walk-through field inspection, to review the existing structures and premises, to determine all existing conditions, equipment/ piping locations, etc. and shall make all necessary allowances for all required Plumbing related demolition and relocation work. This pre-bid inspection by the Plumbing Contractor shall include inspection of all applicable accessible ceiling cavity, areas, etc. B. Should the Plumbing Contractor take any exceptions to providing any related demolition or relocation work, such exceptions shall be stated in detail within the Prime Contractor's bid. No subsequent allowance to the contract cost shall be made for any insufficient allowances made by the Plumbing Contractor during bidding which may result from the Plumbing Contractor's failure to visit job site and review drawings. C. Demolition related work may not be specifically indicated on drawings but shall be included under base bid. All Plumbing related demolition, relocation, etc. work, including work described herein, shall be under base bid. Renovations in this contract include the demo and replacement of the main hallways for flooring and ceilings. This includes new lighting, some minor hvac work, and for the flooring includes new base. Scope also includes removal of glass partition in the Café area and repair of ceiling and flooring where posts where mounted. Scope also includes repairs on the adjacent elevated terrace outside the café, as well as replacement of a few storefront panels/doors, and a repair of 3 leaking windows. Additional work includes a full renovation of a main restroom for men and women. Minor sprinkler work includes replacement of some heads in the restrooms only. 2. All other Work indicated in the Contract Documents.
