Notice is hereby given that the Warrick County School Corporation will receive sealed bid proposals at the Warrick County School Corporation Administration Building, 300 East Gum Street, Boonville, Indiana in Meeting Room B, Second Floor, for the furnishing of all materials and labor for the Warrick County School Corporation Sharon Elementary School Second Floor Exterior Ramps Replacement Project. Bids will be opened and read publicly after bids are received. Project: Warrick County School Corporation Sharon Elementary School Second Floor Exterior Ramps Replacement Project. Project Description: The Project includes the complete removal of two (2) existing second floor exterior ramps; one located on the south side of the school and the other located on the north side. Both ramps are currently of all concrete construction- ramps, landings, elevated slabs, ramp walls, and columns. The replacement ramps will be of a similar construction with the exception of steel pipe guard and handrails in lieu of concrete walls and will be slightly narrower. The project will also include some site grading, sidewalk connections, and site lighting. Bidders will be required to provide Bid Security in the form of a certified check or Bid Bond of a sum no less than five percent (5%) of the Bid Amount made payable to the Warrick County School Corporation. A Bid Bond shall be executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Indiana. The certified check or bidder's bond shall be a guarantee that the said bidder will, if the contract is awarded to him/her, execute within ten (10) days from the acceptance of his/her proposal a contract for the work bid upon, and furnish acceptable surety bonds as set forth in the specifications. However, if the contractor has not executed the contract within the ten (10) day period, or has failed to furnish acceptable surety bonds as indicated, the Owner reserves the right to award the contract to the next most responsive and responsible bidder, and the security will be forfeited.
