A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The PROJECT is comprised of the construction of approximately 2,260 linear feet of 10" and 18" diameter Extra Strength Vitrified Clay Pipe (VCP) sewer mains and related appurtenances, including PVC-lined manholes, reestablishment of all existing service connections, pavement rehabilitation, etc. It includes the abandonment, or removal and disposal, of approximately 3,350 linear feet of existing 8", 10", 12" and 18" diameter sewer mains and manholes in Fourth Street and Main Street. There is no pre-bid meeting. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, made payable to the City of Alhambra for an amount no less than ten (10) percent of the amount bid No bid will be accepted from a Contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the provisions of the Business and Professions Code. The successful Contractor and his subcontractors will be required to possess business licenses from the City. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularity, and to take all bids under advisement for a period of sixty (60) calendar days. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLETE THE WORK WITHIN ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY (180) CALENDAR DAYS FROM THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF CITY'S NOTICE TO PROCEED WITH CONSTRUCTION. Pre-Bid Inquiries shall be received in written form by the City contact no later than 4:00 P.M., on May 1, 2025. No questions received after this date shall be considered.
