Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) intends to hire a Contractor to replace HVAC equipment on multiple buildings at the Swift Current Research and Development Centre. The work includes removal and replacement of multiple HVAC equipment and controls, ensuring all replacement HVAC units connect into the existing supply air ducting systems, including rebalancing for adequate airflow throughout spaces, and meeting current energy code requirements. The buildings impacted and the associated HVAC equipment include: - Upper Header house of building #75 - Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning for this building is provided by one (1) packaged rooftop HVAC unit - Conference Building #98 - Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning for this building is provided by two (2) packaged rooftop HVAC units - Building #6074, aka L.B. Thomson Building - Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning for this building is provided by one (1) packaged rooftop HVAC unit that is a variable air volume (VAV) system that works in conjunction with air volume control valves in the ductwork throughout the space - Crop Services Building #97 - Air conditioning is provided by roof-mounted condensing units that serve remote, in-duct DX cooling coils which have three (3) small units and one (1) make-up air unit - These three small units are only a condenser/compressor unit (i.e. no fans) The Contractor must perform and complete the Work by November 1, 2025.
