Completed plans call for the addition of a fire / police facility; for the demolition of a fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; and for the construction of a fire / police facility.

Construction of two new additions attached to an existing township facility in the Biwabik Township of Gilbert, Minnesota No Bidder shall modify, withdraw, or cancel their Bid or any part thereof for sixty (60) days after the time designated for the receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or bids and to waive any defects, irregularities or information in any proposal or bid, and to award the contracts to other than the lowest bidder, if in their discretion the interests of the project will be best served thereby. All bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of five (5) percent of the amount of the gross bid payable to the Biwabik Township, as liquidated damages for breach of contract if the bidder refuses or neglects to enter into the contract as per their bid. Performance/Payment Bonds are required. This project is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements under Title IX of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), Pub. L. 177-58. Absent an approved waiver, all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in this project must be produced in the United States, as further outlined by the Office of Management and Budget's regulation (reference 2 CFR 200) on the application of Buy America Preference in Federal Financial Assistance Programs for Infrastructure.
