Site work for a water / sewer project in Gilbert, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Major quantities for the work include removal of 1,430 square yards of bituminous pavement, 900 cubic yards of common excavation, 540 cubic yards of Aggregate Base (CV) Class 5, 380 tons of Type SP Bituminous Mixtures, installation of 520 linear feet of C900 PVC Sanitary Sewer Pipe (6-inch to 21-inch), 420 linear feet of Ductile Iron Water Main (8-inch and 10-inch), reconstruction of 10 sanitary sewer manhole structures, and 800 square yards of sodding type lawn. Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the instructions to bidders. A contractor must submit to the city a signed statement under oath verifying compliance with each of the minimum criteria in Minnesota Statutes, section 16C.285, subdivision 3. This work is subject to minimum wages and labor standards in accordance with applicable State of Minnesota prevailing wage requirements and federal Davis-Bacon and Related Acts requirements; the higher applicable wage rate shall be paid for each classification of labor. The City of Gilbert reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities, and to award the contract in the best interests of the City of Gilbert.
