As of June 13, 2025 Project has not been awarded No definite date for award Timucuan Oaks Park consists of a pedestrian walkway from a parking lot on Peninsula Drive to the waterway to the west, adjacent to the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW). The walkway is roughly 1,200 ft in total length and includes a gazebo, pier, and floating dock elements. The currently installed support piles, upland, and in the water, along the entire walkway, gazebo, access pier, and floating dock require replacement or repair to properly and safely support the structure for continued pedestrian service and vessel mooring. The Town of Ponce Inlet is requesting a proposal for the repair to the pilings of the boardwalk within the Town of Ponce Inlet. The boardwalk islocated at Timucuan Oaks Botanical Garden, 4550 South Peninsula Drive, Ponce Inlet, Florida 32127. Proposals shall be submitted based on materials and labor to make the piling repairs. The work performed is to repair the pilings as per the engineering documents presented with the proposal document. The Contractor is to review the engineered documents and propose to only make repairs by jacketing the pilings listed as Critical, Serious, or Poor for the boardwalk. Nothing is to be done with any of the pilings listed as Good, Fair, or Satisfactory for the boardwalk. All work is to be performed following Federal, State and local regulations. The contractor is responsible for proper licensing and obtaining permits for work. Before submitting a proposal, it shall be the bidder's responsibility to visit the site of the proposed work and familiarize themselves with the nature and extent of the work and any local conditions that may in any way affect the work to be done and the equipment, materials and labor required. The Contractor shall monitor and control all construction activities to minimize adverse impacts on the surrounding environment. Monitoring environmental impact involves monitoring land, water, and air while managing visual aesthetics, noise, solid waste, and pollutants. The Contractor shall conduct operations to minimize turbidity and disturbance of fish and wildlife. SCOPE OF WORK: The Town of Ponce Inlet is requesting a proposal for the repair to the pilings of the boardwalk within the Town of Ponce Inlet.
