The proposed Project area is approximately 19 acres and will provide additional ballfields that that meet The American Society of Testing and Materials for athletic fields that follows standards for various athletic services and tournaments of ballfield leagues. It will be a state-of-the-art facility based on the latest athletic field design principles and constructed with high-quality materials to ensure durability and longevity. The design should feature up to four adult softball fields, including ballfield storage, concession stand with restrooms and office space, lighting, and parking lot, with elements designed for various age groups and ability levels. The design should meet the ultimate needs of the community while incorporating Crime Prevention through Environmental Design ("CPTED") principles, including as needed irrigation, sod installation, tree removal, and tree replacement. The Project design shall be based on input from various stakeholders, including staff from the City's Community Services, Police, Planning, Stormwater Division, Public Works and Engineering Departments as well as input received from park users and the community.
