Renovation of a medical facility in Sacramento, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
University wi l accept prequalification questionnaires from general contractors having completed projects that meet al the criteria listed in the Prequalification Questionnaire which in part includes: 1. Project work took place in one of the following medical facility environments: a. Remodel or infrastructure upgrade in a licensed OSHPD Type 1, operating 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, providing patient care, surgery, radiology, cardiology and emergency medical services. 2. Project took place in a location immediately adjacent to a fully occupied area that remained in operation during construction. 3. Project work included at least two (2) of the following hospital systems: Nurse call, overhead paging, fire systems, security systems, pneumatic systems, hospital information systems, MEP systems such as steam condensate piping, condensate return pumps, boiler feed water pumps with VFD's. 4. Project had a full-time Superintendent present in the above-described settings during ALL construction activities - days, evenings, swing, weekends. 5. Project was completed within the last seven (7) years. 6. Construction contract cost was at least $500,000 as awarded (excluding change orders). Project Description: Project is an infrastructure repair of the Central Plant (Bldg. 73) steam condensate system, including adding support to the existing condensate return line, retrofitting condensate return and retrofitting medium pressure boiler feed water pumps with VFD's. Also included is the installation of additional floor drains, gas flow meters, steam condensate flow meters, and rerouting of existing piping to improve equipment, maintenance, and operability. Estimated Construction Cost: $2,000,000.00 Anticipated Project Award Date: August 2025 Anticipated Project Duration: 260 days Project Delivery Method: Design-Bid-Build. The University intends to utilize the Best Value selection method for this project. The best value to the University is the selection resulting in the best combination of price and qualifications based on the criteria set forth in the bidding documents.
