Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a library in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Completed plans call for the addition of a 3,056-square-foot library; for the renovation of a 7,444-square-foot library; and for site work for a library.
Bids are to be broken out between the three independent phases listed below: 1. Addition 2. Renovation 3. Exterior Hardscaping & Landscaping The project consists of constructing new additions to the library building, hardscaping exterior surfaces, and renovating existing interiors. The Upper San Juan Library District has determined the need to expand its 7,298 square foot facility in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, to create more space for its collections and services. Architectural plans have been drawn up by Reynolds Ash and Associates Architects to expand the building with a 3,300 square foot addition, a hardscaped public garden, and a fenced exterior children’s garden. Interior renovations will also be completed as part of the plan scope. The project is funded through private donations as well as a series of grants including the following: DOLA – Energy/Mineral Impact Assistant Fund Grant Black Hills Energy El Pomar Town of Pagosa Springs Archuleta County Gates Family Foundation The Library provided additional funding. The total project budget is $5 million
