The Roscommon County Road Commission will receive sealed bids for 2025 HMA Base Crushing. Submit bids in sealed envelope that is clearly marked with the words "2025 HMA Base Crushing". The Roscommon County Road Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in any bid, to waive details in the specifications, and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of Roscommon County. Bids may be extended for an additional year with mutual agreement. The HMA Base Crushing with compaction item includes crushing the existing road surface and breakdown compaction, with an approved roller, by the square yard. All density requirements are waived. The HMA Base Crushing without compaction item includes crushing the existing road surface with compaction by others. The RCRC will provide flag control when required. Quantities may vary. A "Certification of Insurance" is required to be on file prior to starting work within the right-of-way. An as needed price for HMA Base Crushing with and without Compaction is also being requested for any potential additional work. Crush existing HMA 2" into the existing aggregate base. Ensure 95 percent of the crushed material has a maximum particle size of 1 1/2 ", and the remaining 5 percent contains no particles larger than 4". The RCRC will provide flag control and required support equipment (grader). The approximate width of the existing HMA is 22 feet. The approximate depth of the existing HMA is 2" to 4" inches.
