Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Repentigny, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a multi-residential development; for site work for a multi-residential development; educational facility; playground / park / athletic field; and retail development.
The megaproject Avantia provides for the redevelopment a six-million-square-foot area that will be transformed into an urban ecosystem with industries, innovative business spaces, between 4,000 and 5,000 new housing units, a tramway, a school, parks, and local retail. Inspired by the 15-Minute City concept, Avantia will provide access to all essential services, such as grocery stores, schools, parks, transportation, and workplaces, on foot or by bike, in less than fifteen minutes. The estimated investment for this megaproject is between $3 and $4 billion over the next 20 years. TIMELINE: The project is preliminary and has just been announced by the City. To proceed with the project implementation the City will have to completely transform everything: from underground infrastructure to the construction or conversion of buildings and green spaces. According to the available information the City has already two real estate projects "in pre-approval," and expects that the first construction sites will begin by the end of 2026.
