Renovation of a municipal facility in West Valley City, Utah. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Granger-Hunter Improvement District is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the replacement of the existing shop lift system at its Headquarters' shop. The scope of work includes the removal and disposal of the current lift equipment, procurement and installation of a new high-capacity shop lift system (60,000 lbs. and 80,000 lbs. options), and all associated electrical, mechanical, and structural modifications. The replacement lift must meet current safety standards, accommodate heavy-duty vehicles, and enhance operational efficiency. Proposals should include company and equipment background, detailed equipment specifications, warranty, support and training information, cost proposal (separate document), and all other requirements found in the attached Request For Proposal document. The Vendor will provide a price for the equipment for the 2 capacities listed above, including installation and a 1-year minimum warranty. The contract will be awarded as a whole; no individual equipment will be awarded separately. Weight capacity and price will be evaluated, and the most economically advantageous option will be selected based on the District's needs and the evaluation criteria. GHID currently operates a 13,000 lbs. shop lift installed in 1995, an AP50H by Rotary Lifts. The Proposer will need to evaluate the existing lift system and determine how to install the new lift system. This includesan analysis of the concrete slab and requirements for the new lift, verifying compatibility with GHID's hydraulic and power systems, and any other requirements necessary to install the new lift system. The Proposer shall be responsible for removing the existing lift system and repairing the floor as needed. The Proposer shall also determine if additional conduits or wiring are needed and install those as well. All proposed work, including cost, shall be noted in the proposal. Building permits and engineering plans should be provided and addressed if required based on past experiences by the Vendor.
