Renovation of a fire / police facility in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 7,470-square-foot, one-story above grade fire / police facility.
Award: Reim Construction, LLC for $652,688.40 Remove/replace aluminum storefront systems & overhead doors, demolition of a portion of an interior concrete masonry wall, remove/replace acoustic ceiling, remove/replace millwork, new floor finishes, lighting, painting, & remove/replace exterior signage. Building will remain occupied & operational during renovation. Mandatory pre-bid mtg. on 5/8/25 at 10:00AM (local time) on site. On-time attendance & sign-in required for bid consideration. No remote attendance. No parking in driveway. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. Bidders shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages. Contract time and liquidated damages are as described in Document 004113 - Bid Form. Project consists of renovations to the approximately 7,470 sf. of existing Fire Station No. 2 building. The renovations include removal and replacement of existing aluminum storefront systems and overhead doors, demolition of a portion of an interior concrete masonry wall; removal of a portion of the acoustic lay-in ceiling tiles, installation of new acoustic, gypsum board ceiling clouds, removal and replacement of existing millwork, new floor finishes, new lighting and paint and removal and replacement of existing exterior signage. There are seven (7) Alternates associated with the work described above. See SECTION 012300 - ALTERNATES for a complete list.
