involves improvements to the intersection of Hwy 92 at the economic development site known as the LYH03 - Bailey Site, currently under construction. The primary intersection improvements are situated on Hwy 92 approx. 700 feet north of Skip with Road near Chase City. Improvements include corridor widening, entrance, and turn lanes along Hwy 92, reconstruction of Hwy 92 to address sight distance limitations, and paving of Butler Farm Road. The total scope of work involves improvements along approximately 2,500 linear feet of roadway. Construction consists of pavement demolition, widening, resurfacing and/or replacement as required to develop and improve the new subject intersection and associated turn lanes. Construction along Butler Farm Road consists of reconstructing the existing stone/gravel roadway in-place with full-depth asphalt pavement. Construction also includes improvements to overall drainage and ditches, clearing, grading, asphalt paving, erosion & sediment control, signage, pavement markings, and other items necessary for the completion of the work. The project is funded and administered by Mecklenburg County.
