Work of this Project is described as new office building for New Storage Building for the Mason County Board of Elections, Maysville, KY 41056. Work includes general construction, electrical, and mechanical to complete the storage building. Contractor to provide all other material and equipment to complete project for bidders located in the contract documents. The Project will be constructed under a prime contract. Building, electrical, mechanical and plumbing permit fees, and the utility connection fees, shall be paid by the owner. All questions regarding the meaning or interpretation of the bidding documents shall be directed in writing to the purchasing officer. Unless otherwise specified in the Solicitation, questions received less than ten (10) calendar days prior to the date for receipt of bids may not be answered. The bid is to furnish all necessary labor, materials, tools, machinery, warranties, and all other items required to construct a new office building. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening. Each bid must include a bid security in the amount of 10% of the total bid in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, irrevocable letter of credit, or security company bond pursuant to the Kentucky Revised Statutes. If a bid security in the amount of 10% of the full bid amount is submitted with the bid, the successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and labor and material bond from an acceptable surety in the amount of 100% of the full contract amount in accordance with the Kentucky Revised Statutes. If a bid guaranty bond in the amount of 100% of the total bid is submitted with the bid, no additional performance and labor and material bond will be required.
