The City of Pittsburgh Office of Management and Budget, on behalf of the Department of Parks and Recreation, is soliciting bids from qualified firms for Pool Pumps. Question Submission Deadline:May 2, 2025, 5:00pm All questions shall be submitted via "Q&A" feature on OpenGov.| Period of Contract:May 16, 2025 through May 15, 2027 with two, one-year options to renew. Pumps should be heavy duty, electric submersible, centrifugal pump(s) to be supplied with motor, close coupled volute, cast iron discharge elbow, guide brackets, power cable and accessories that are non-clogging units. Pump should be designed to handle raw unscreened sewage and wastewater and should be fully guaranteed for that use. Pump(s) should be capable of operating in liquid temperature up to 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Pumps may either be wet pit (CP) dry pit (CT) and/or portable (CS). Pump(s) and motor(s) should be suitable for continuous operation at full nameplate load while the motor is completely submerged, partially submerged or totally non-submerged. The motor(s) shall not need either a secondary pump or cooling fans. The pumps, mechanical seals and motor units provided under this specification shall be from the same manufacturer in order to achieve standardization of operation, maintenance, spare parts, manufacturer's service and warranty. The City reserves the right to request any of the following data for approval throughout the term of the contract: Performance Curve Pump outline drawing Station drawing for accessories Detailed electrical data Access frame drawing Typical installation guides Technical manuals Parts list Printed warranty Manufacturer's equipment storage recommendations Upon request, bidders may be required to demonstrate that service technicians are certified for ITT/FLYGT pump repair. In emergency situations, the successful bidder may be required to respond to service calls within 4-6 hours.
