Should three bids not be received, the bid will be re-advertised. Contractors must be properly licensed as required by Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes at time of bid to perform the work described herein as the general/prime contractor. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, construction of approximately 3,185 L.F. of 30-inch diameter and 200 L.F. of 24-inch diameter finished water transmission main and appurtenances, and approximately 100 L.F. of 48-inch diameter encasement pipe by trenchless methods. Compliance with the City/County Utility Commission's Minority and Women Business Enterprise program is required on this project. Please refer to the Special Instructions to Bidders contained in the Project Manual for the City's M/WBE program requirements and project subcontracting goals of 6% MBE and 4% WBE.
