As of June 16, 2025 Project has not been awarded, No definite date for award The Town of Hudson, New Hampshire wishes to engage the services of a qualified private firm to provide engineering, design and installation services of: Engineering / Design / Build Service to Replace the Central Fire Station HVAC System Scope of Services The Town of Hudson Fire Department is soliciting Contractor services to Engineer / design and construct improvements to Replace the HVAC at the Central Fire Station. The work will include the Engineering / design and installing of new HVAC system and involves the following: Assessment of the existing conditions, floor plan and requirements of conditioning Assessment of the existing electrical service and determine if its adequate for the new units/equipment to be installed Assessment and balancing/calibration of the HVAC system after installation and prior to turning over to Town Prepare all permitting documents and acquire all permits required for construction (fees will be paid by the Town). Prepare complete engineering, design, construction plans and cost estimates, for the units to be utilized on this project, including more energy efficient equipment options Assessment of the existing building including access for the new unit to be installed and removal requirements. Construct the approved construction plan that will conform to all required codes. Conduct startup and onsite training with Fire Department staff Provide the Town with the manuals All condensers to be mounted on the addition portion of the building. Provide one equipment stand equal to Big Foot Multi Frame - (Multiple stands is not acceptable) All existing electrical to be made safe, removed and brought back to closest workbox locations and labeled on the box and panel. All gas piping to be made safe and removed as far back to the meter as practical. Remove entire HVAC systems for second floor and basement with the exception of existing Mitsubishi split system serving the Computer Room (201) as it is to remain. All applicable rebates will be made known and information for application will be provided upon completion. All rebates will be made to the Town of Hudson unless noted. General concept for new HVAC systems is to be hyper-heat split systems by Mitsubishi or Daikin, ERVs by Renewaire, Electric heat by Q-Mark as examples. Stamped & Engineered Drawings All line voltage and low voltage All submissions should include a Planned Maintenance Service Contract for three years and estimates for any costs associated with the equipment warranty period. It is the expectation that the designer, installer will be the service provider for the period of three years after installation. Question Deadline 05/23/2025 at 10:00 AM ET Any questions or inquiries must be submitted in writing, and must be received by the Deputy Fire Chief, James Paquette (jpaquette@hudsonnh.gov). Any responses to questions, clarifications, or changes to the Request for Proposals will be provided to all Proposers of record that attended the mandatory pre-proposal meeting. This project will be 100% funded by the Town of Hudson and is budgeted to commence July 1, 2025 A contract will be signed as soon as possible after the Proposal due date and completion of the Proposal evaluations and the project will proceed immediately. Project must have completed all verification and validation testing and be ready for final acceptance by the Town by September 1, 2025. All proposals received will be considered confidential and not available for public review until after a vendor has been selected. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or any part thereof, to waive any formality, informality, information or errors in the proposal, to accept the proposal considered to be in the best interest of the Town, or to purchase on the open market if it is considered in the best interest of the Town to do so. Failure to submit all information called for and/or submission of an unbalanced proposal are sufficient reasons to declare a proposal as non-responsive and subject to disqualification. Proposals must be mailed or delivered in person. Proposals that are faxed or e-mailed will not be accepted. A contract will be signed as soon as possible after the Proposal due date and completion of the Proposal evaluations and the project will proceed immediately. Project must have completed all verification and validation testing and be ready for final acceptance by the Town by September 1, 2025.
