The Project consists of the construction of approximately 1,750 linear feet of 12-inch diameter waterline, approximately 2,650 linear feet of 16-inch diameter waterline, and approximately 650 linear feet of 8-inch diameter waterline (Bid-Alternate). Bids will be received for a single prime contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with as indicated in the Bid Form. Work of the Project generally includes water pipeline installation along RM 2900. More specifically, the Work includes, but is not limited to, construction of the following: 16'' PVC Water Line Installation at the following locations Pipeline installed leaving the Kingsland WSC Treatment plant heading west to RM2900. Pipeline heading north along the east side of RM 2900 within the roadside ditch. Pipeline crossing RM 2900 at Ridgeview Drive and ending past the intersection with Cottonwood Drive. 12'' PVC Water line installation at the following location. Continuing north along RM 2900 within the east roadside ditch and ending after crossing FM 1431. Bid Alternate, 8'' PVC Water line installation along the north side of Willowood road starting at Covenant Lane and ending after crossing FM 1431. A portion of the proposed waterline lies within Llano ISD property adjacent to Packsaddle Elementary School. Permanent Easement and Temporary Construction Easement has been negotiated between KWSC and Llano ISD for providing a connection and fire flow service to the elementary school. This work includes by is not limited to the installation of a meter vault, meter and connection to a fire line to the new building. Christopher Leal Civil Engineer Bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check upon a national or state bank in an amount of five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price payable without recourse to the Owner, or a bid bond in the same amount from a reliable surety company, as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within fifteen (15) days after notice of award of Contract to him. Such bid guarantee shall be made payable to Kingsland Water Supply Corporation. The successful bidder must furnish a performance, payment, and maintenance bond upon the form provided in the amount of one hundred per cent (100%) of the contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety, or other surety or sureties acceptable to the Owner. Bids must remain in effect for 60 days after the bid opening date. Within 60 days from the bid date, the Owner may award the contract or reject any or all bids for the project. The Kingsland Water Supply Corporation reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bids and bidding deemed to be in the best interests of the Kingsland Water Supply Corporation, and to reject nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional bids.
