The Work consists of the demolition of the existing sodium hypochlorite day tank, piping, and appurtenances and construction of a new day tank, associated piping, and metering pump discharge piping and the installation of a new day tank located in the existing Filter Control Building. The project is located at 9101 WRVA Road, Richmond, VA 23231. Question Deadline 05/09/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents or the Contract Documentsshall be submitted to Evan Bowles, in writing at, ebowles@hazenandsawyer.com. In order to receive consideration, questions must be received by Hazen and Sawyer at least 8 days prior to the date fixed for the receipt of Bids. A. This Contract includes all Work required by the Construction Documents necessary for the Sodium Hypochlorite Day Tank Replacement Project. B. The Contractor shall perform all work required for such construction in accordance with the Contract Documents and subject to the terms and conditions of the Contract, complete and ready for use. C. The contract time for all work shall be 365 days from Notice to Proceed (NTP) to Final Completion. The project consists of, but is not limited to: 1. Demolition of the existing sodium hypochlorite day tank, piping, and appurtenances and construction of a new day tank, associated piping, and metering pump discharge piping at the WRF. 2. Installation of a new day tank located in the existing Filter Control Building. 3. Demolition and reconstruction of an exterior wall of the Filter Control Building is required to install the new day tank. 4. New polyvinyl chloride (PVC) chemical feed piping for the tank and metering pump discharge. 5. New tank float switch and sump float switch; other instrumentation will be temporarily removed and reinstalled. 6. Replacement of electrical conduit, junction boxes and instrumentation related to the exterior wall demolition and within the containment area 7. Contractor shall supply and install components necessary to provide a complete and working system. Work shall further entail all other site, structural, electrical, controls, and instrumentation additions/improvements associated with the Work items above. D. The foregoing description shall not be construed as a complete description of all work required.
