This project involves the removal of existing fencing, minor grading and construction of a masonry block property wall with street lighting, including all necessary labor, materials, transportation, tools, equipment, and disposal services. Key components of the work include trenching/boring, installing conduits, installing new electrical wiring and connections, constructing asphalt pavement, traffic pavement markings, removal of existing trees, rebar and foundations. Each bid shall be accompanied by bid security referred to in the contract documents and by a list of proposed subcontractors. Evidence of insurance, a performance bond, and a labor and materials bond as specified in the contract documents will be required prior to execution of the contract. Pursuant to the Labor Code of the State of California, the Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of wages and employer payments for health and welfare, vacation, pension and similar purposes applicable to the work to be done. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding and to make awards in the interest of the City.
