New construction of an educational facility in Jacksonville, Florida. Working plans call for the construction of a 19,000-square-foot educational facility.

This project is associated with the continued development of UNF’s Eastern Ridge that includes a 500-Bed facility to house Honors College students inclusive of all associated amenities and is shown on the Campus Master Plan located along Osprey Ridge Road. The new Honors Residence Hall includes specific amenities for the Honors College. The Honors College facility would consists of classrooms, offices, study, and other student support spaces. Additional amenities that would be beneficial to the Honors College program might include but not be limited to; meeting rooms, group study areas, music practice rooms, audio and video edit rooms, video conference rooms and maker space. A building program has been completed and identifies site requirements, space requirements, interior amenities, site amenities, quality of construction, materials and systems, overall gross area of the project, a project budget, organizational requirements, furniture & equipment, technology requirements, and infrastructure/environmental requirements. As of April 10, 2026, this project is in the design phase. RFQs for a construction manager will be advertised in late April/early May 2026. A construction start date has not been disclsoed. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
