Maintained roads to our Regional Landfill and transfer stations are essential for safe and effective traffic flow. These sites are open six days a week and include many heavy commercial trucks utilizing the site daily and all year around. The Aurora and Northwoods transfer station entrance roads have exceeded the typical replacement life span by many years and are of need of improvements. The Regional Landfill Road will be a reclaim project. Transfer Station Access Road Improvement Project. Fund 604001 - $350,000 Aurora Transfer Station, 5910 Hwy 135 N, Aurora - Northwoods Transfer Station, 9384 Hwy 21 N, Ely and Regional Landfill Road Fund 607001 $375,000 The project is included in the County's 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of April 25, 2025, project is funded for FY2025/FY2029. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
