The Town of Wellesley invites responders to submit sealed proposals for:SCHOOL BUILDING ROOFING ASSESSMENT The Town of Wellesley, through its Facilities Management Department (FMD), is seeking the services of a qualified Designer within the meaning of and in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 7C, Sections 44-57, to provide professional services to study the existing roofing systems and to recommend repair and replacement options at three school buildings: Bates Elementary at 116Elmwood Road, Sprague Elementary at 401 School Street and Wellesley Middle School at 50 Kingsbury Street. As part of this project, the roofs shall be evaluated for possible future installations of photovoltaic (solar) panel arrays, as well as future HVAC projects that could add mechanical equipment, piping and electrical work to the roofs. The submissions will be clearly marked "Qualifications for the School Building Roofing Assessment". The Town desires to receive proposals from qualified designers for the assessment. Proposals must be completed as directed therein, sealed in an opaque envelope addressed to Town of Wellesley, Facilities Management Department, 888 Worcester Street, Suite 370, Wellesley, MA 0248,endorsed with the name and address of the offeror and marked "Qualifications for the School Building Roofing Assessment". The completion of the assessment shall be not later than October 2026. The contract award shall be made within 30 working days after the opening of proposals. The Town shall have the right to reject any and all proposals or parts thereof, or items therein, and to waive any defects or irregularities as to form, therein in accordance with MGL. The Town of Wellesley notifies all participants that minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit proposals in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race,color, creed, sex or national origin or handicapped status in consideration for an award.It is the sole responsibility of the contractor downloading these bids to ensure they have received any and all addenda prior to the bid opening. The Town will reject any and all bids in accordance with the above referenced General Laws. In addition, the Town reserves the right to waive any informalities in any or all bids, or to reject any or all bids (in whole or inpart) if it be in the public interest to do so.
