Renovation of a parking garage in High Point, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.
Scope Letters of Interest with qualifications statements and SF-254s will be received until Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. EDT in the Construction Office, Campus Operations Building, 1003 Bonner Drive, Jamestown, NC 27282, Attn: Mitchell Johnson for architectural/engineering services for the renovation of the GTCC-owned building (formerly the Johnson Warehouse) at 721 S. Hamilton St. on the High Point Campus. Phase I of the project involves renovation of the warehouse (13,200 sq. ft.) to house the HVAC, construction, masonry, and hotel/apartment maintenance programs. The renovation will divide the building into four sections, one for each type of training, with common bathrooms and hallways as well as a shared truck dock. All HVAC, electrical, plumbing, ceilings, and floor finishes will be new. The project will include roof replacement and minor grading and site parking/access. Funds for this project have been awarded to the Southwest Renewal Foundation from the Community Change Grant Program under the Environmental and Climate Justice Block Grant Program from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. GTCC is a sub-grantee of the Southwest Renewal Foundation.
