Site work for a civil project in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Construction of a supply system to draw raw water from the North Saskatchewan River, screen and pump the water to a treatment location, and after treatment and settlement in sedimentation ponds, pump the clarified water through a pipeline to delivery points along Range Road 214 south to Township Road 554 within Strathcona County's Industrial Heartland region. The scope of the overall project is divided into 3 systems: System 1a/b: river water intake and pumphouse System 2a/b: raw and clarified pipelines System 3: clarification, storage and distribution pumps TIMELINE: An engineering consultant has been engaged. Front-End-Engineering-Design final submission is expected in May 2026. Tender and construction timing is subject to funding approvals and grant funding. System 1b, 2a/b and 3 will require Council approval, and would be expected in the future to be completed under one (1) design-build contract.
