The City of Lucedale, Mississippi, is inviting sealed bid proposals for the construction of all fencing to be installed at the Lucedale Soccer Complex. This project entails providing comprehensive design and construction services, including all labor and materials as specified. The successful bidder will be responsible for the materials and labor that are needed to install 2,610 feet of galvanized fencing located at the Lucedale Soccer Complex. The project includes all work as specified in the documents, and contractors are responsible for all materials, labor, and equipment required to complete the project per the specifications and drawings. The contract time is set for 100 consecutive calendar days from the effective date in the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages of $100 will be assessed for each day beyond the specified contract time. Bidder Qualifications: Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law and possess a current Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors, indicating their classification and qualifications for the type and value of construction. Bidders should write their Certificate of Responsibility Number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing their proposal. Proposals must be submitted in duplicate, sealed, and delivered to the City of Lucedale by the specified date. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 90 days following the opening. Each bid must include a separate attachment detailing the bidder's qualifications, including past projects, references, and key personnel. Non-Resident Bidders: Non-resident bidders must attach a copy of their resident state's laws regarding the treatment of non-resident contractors to their bid. Each bidder must include a Bid Bond or Certified Check for 5% of their bid amount, payable to the City of Lucedale, as bid security. A current financial statement may be requested by the City. The successful bidder will be required to provide Payment and Performance Bonds, each for 100% of the contract amount.
