Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Farmingdale, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a 51,600-square-foot educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
The work of this single bid project includes New Net-Zero Computer Sciences Center. Three-story building of approximately 51,600 GSF. Primary heating and cooling provided by a modular heat pump chiller tied into a closed loop geothermal system. Normal power derived from the campus existing 13.2kV medium voltage distribution system. The Project Labor Agreement (PLA) has been adopted for this project. This agreement openly promotes bidding from all contractors - union and non-union. The low bidder must execute and abide by the terms of the project-specific Project Labor Agreement. This project Labor Agreement also impacts acceptable staffing patterns of the project. The PLA should be read in its entirety by all potential bidders prior to submitting a proposal. EEO goals for this project: 6% minority workforce and 3% female workforce Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 20% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 10% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% Contract term: 1,050 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed Estimated Range $55,000,000 - $60,000,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
