Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field in Inverness, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field; and for paving for a playground / park / athletic field.

The project includes the construction of a new gated entrance to Whispering Pines Park off US 41. The entrance will include new security gates, lighting, and a new asphalt interior park road approximately 1/4 mile in length connecting the new entrance to an existing interior park road. The project is funded largely through a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Local Agency Program (LAP) grant. Construction will be required to meet all FDOT Standards and Specifications as well as LAP requirements. CONTRACT TIME: Construction time to achieve Substantial Completion is 270 consecutive calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed, with an additional 30 consecutive calendar days to achieve Final Completion (300 days total). All project questions must be submitted in writing on Thursday, May 15, 2025, by 2:00 pm E.S.T. No further questions will be accepted or answered after that date. The responses by Addenda will be directed to each person that attended the pre-bid meeting. BID SECURITY: A 5% Bid Bond will be required for this project. AND PAYMENT BOND: The Owner will require that the Contractor furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price, if it exceeds $100,000. All Payment and Performance Bonds shall be secured from or countersigned by an agency or surety company recognized in good standing and authorized to do business in the State of Florida. The City of Inverness reserves the right to waive formalities, waive any technical defects, reject any and all bids, and accept any bid which represents the lowest and best offer to the City. All work for the Project shall be constructed in accordance with the Specifications prepared by the Owner. Bids shall be submitted for demolition, disposal, furnishing, delivering, and installing all materials, equipment, and services, including labor for the Work, which generally involves the following activities: New construction of approximately 1200 LF of two-lane roadway from US41(SR45) to existing internal Park Road. Project will include selective clearing and grubbing of trees, drainage swales and culverts, striping and pavement marking, signage, lighting and landscaping plants. Project will also tie to existing perimeter trail and adjust elevation for enhanced pedestrian crossing and ingress. Project will also include concrete curb and concrete pavement for driveway extension of existing constructed as part of FDOT US41(SR45) improvements.
