DESCRIPTION OF WORK: All work for the Project shall be constructed in accordance with the Specifications prepared by the Owner. Bids shall be submitted for demolition, disposal, furnishing, delivering, and installing all materials, equipment, and services, including labor for the Work, which generally involves the following activities: Milling and resurfacing approximately 3.05 miles of residential roadway. All bids shall be prepared using the Bid Package and Specifications. Addenda will be sent via email to all plan holders up to seventy-two (72) hours before the Bid closing time. The Owner is not responsible for delivery of addenda to prospective bidders. BID SECURITY: A 5% bid security will be required for this project, if contract price exceeds $100,000. PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BOND: The Owner will require that the Contractor furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price, if it exceeds $100,000. All Payment and Performance Bonds shall be secured from or countersigned by an agency or surety company recognized in good standing and authorized to do business in the State of Florida.
