Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Ramsey, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work generally consists of reconstruction of 0.96 miles of public street along MSA street Alpine Drive. The work, including an alternate bid to reclaim and pave adjacent trails, is estimated to include: o 27,274 square yards of full depth reclamation o 608 square yard of pavement milling o 41.8 road stations plus 6,635 square yards of subgrade prep o 1,980 cubic yards of aggregate base class 5 o 264 linear feet of storm sewer o 7,130 tons of bituminous pavement o 3,684 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter o 170 square yards of concrete walk o 17,863 linear feet of pavement markings o Miscellaneous other improvements It is anticipated that a contract will be awarded on May 27, 2025, and that work may begin on or about June 2, 2025. Instructions for online bidding are included in the Project Specifications. Each bidder shall submit a bid bond made payable to the City of Ramsey in the amount of 5% of the total bid, to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid is accepted and the bidder shall fail to promptly enter into a written contract and furnish the required bond. The online bid must be completed and submitted, all addenda acknowledged and acknowledgement uploaded to the site, and a copy of the bid bond uploaded to the site. The original bid bond must be delivered to the City within 2 business days after the bid opening. No bidder may withdraw their bid for at least 45 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. The City of Ramsey reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive informalities. All questions regarding the Plans and Contract Documents are to be submitted to the Engineering in writing. Addition, revisions, corrections and/or clarifications considered necessary by the Engineer in response to such question will be issued by Addenda posted by the Engineer to the QuestCDN website referenced in the Advertisement for Bids, and emailed to the plan holders in accordance with their notification settings assigned to their QuestCDN account. Responses not deemed necessary or within too short of time period to the receiving of bids may not be issued. Only questions responded to by Addenda will be binding. Oral interpretations to the Contract Documents which are available to the Bidder will be without legal effect.
