Reference Number 0000292303 Question Acceptance Deadline 2025/05/21 03:00:00 PM EDT The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) is a non share capital corporation without share capital. Among its responsibilities are the management, operation and maintenance of Toronto Pearson International Airport. The GTAA is requesting Request for Proposals (RFP) submissions for Groundside Snow Removal Services. The Work is divided into three specific components: Groundside Snow Removal & Groundside Maintenance. A brief description of the Groundside Snow Removal is as follows: 1) Groundside Snow Removal a. The GTAA requires the services of one Supplier to provide anti-icing, de-icing, and snow-removal services (including Groundside Maintenance). The Work shall be performed on a seasonal basis commencing November 1st to April 30th each season. The Work shall be performed only by qualified employees and must be available on twenty-four (24) hours a day/seven (7) days a week continuous basis, including all statutory holidays, during the months (season) specified herein. The Supplier must respond within 30 minutes from the start of a freezing-precipitation event. It is the responsibility of the Supplier to ensure that there are a sufficient complement of operators, equipment, personnel, supervisors, and support personnel to conduct winter-maintenance activities on a 24-hour continuous rotational shift basis.. b. The Supplier is responsible for the following: i Supplying and maintaining Snow removal equipment operators and relevant equipment for the purpose of groundside snow removal directed by the GTAA representative. Ensuring that there is a required complement of operators, staff, supervisors, and support staff to conduct the work on a 24-hour continuous basis. Ensuring that all supervisors and public road clearing staff arrive on site within 30 minutes of the start of any precipitation event and advise the GTAA representative of the resources onsite. Staff dedicated to parking lots shall arrive on site within 60 minutes of the callout being made.. iv. Once a callout by the GTAA representative has been initiated to ensure that that there are always sufficient resources available in the way of equipment and operators throughout the winter precipitation events V. It is the responsibility of the Supplier to monitor weather conditions and to adjust resource requirements should conditions change.
