Wabaunsee Co. RWD 1 (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Water System Improvements: Contract 1 Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Bartlett & West office located at 1200 SW Executive Dr., Topeka, KS 66615, Attn. Jarrod Saathoff until Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project includes the following Work: Contract 1: Remove two existing standpipes and install one standpipe on the existing foundation. New standpipe is to be welded steel or bolted steel construction. Owner anticipates that the Project's total bid price will be approximately $500,000. The Project has an expected duration of 450 days. Instructions to Bidders. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. Domestic Preference This project is subject to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) requirements under Title IX of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), Pub. L. 117-58, §§ 70901-70953. Absent an approved waiver, all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in this project must be produced in the United States. The following waivers apply to this Contract: BABAA De Minimis, Small Grants, and Minor Components Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. A Prebid meeting will not be held for this project. Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bidding Documents may be purchased from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Cost does not include shipping charges. Upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents or electronic documents on compact disk will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method chosen. Question Deadline 05/22/2025 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
