The San Antonio Water System (SAWS) is pursuing Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) for professional engineering services for the Walden Heights Booster Station Improvements and the W Grosenbacher Rd. Pressure Reducing Valve Projects ("Project"). Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from interested firms (Respondents) are being accepted in connection with this Project, which will require the scope of services to be performed by a qualified professional engineering firm. The selected firm shall provide engineering services entailing planning, engineering evaluations, studies, reports, preliminary engineering, design, bid, construction, start-up/commissioning, and overall project management services for the design and construction of the Project. The anticipated services will include project management and coordination, civil, mechanical, structural, and electrical engineering services, instrumentation and controls, surveying, permitting, geotechnical engineering, subsurface utility engineering, preliminary engineering, design, scheduling, cost estimating, construction management and other services as necessary for the Project. These services shall be required on an "as needed" basis. SAWS may elect to award a work order type of contract to one or more Consultants from this Solicitation to provide professional engineering design and construction phase services for the Project. The following includes the general scope of services needed under this RFQ. Refer to Attachment I - Project Charter and Maps for Project for individual project/work order descriptions and scopes and additional information. The extent and details of the scope of services needed for the Project will be negotiated after Consultant(s) selection. The projects included as part of this solicitation include: a. Walden Heights Booster Station Improvements b. W Grosenbacher Rd. Pressure Reducing Valve The scope of services will include the following tasks: o Project Management, Subconsultant Management and Coordination o 30% Design Phase o 60% Design Phase o 90% Design Phase o 100% Design and Bid Phase o Construction, As-builts, and Project Closeout Phase o Field Investigations o Supplemental Services Respondents may submit technical questions concerning the services in this RFQ in writing.
