Southwest Independent School District is accepting bid responses for the following equipment, products, and/or services:Gym Floor Refinishing in accordance with the instructions, terms and conditions, and requirements/specifications contained in this Solicitation. Question Cut Off Date: 5/6/2025 02:00:00 PM (CT) Southwest ISD is accepting bids to refinish competition and practice gym floors at our secondary campuses. The work for all practice and competition gyms, except Legacy HS Competition, shall include: Sweeping and mopping the floors to remove fine dirt and dust Scraping up of gum deposited on gym floors Wet buffing of the gym floors by using 220-grit abrasive pads and an adhesion formula. Applying one (1) coat of 50% solids oil-based gym finish on the floors The work for the Legacy HS Competition shall include: Sweeping and mopping the floors to remove fine dirt and dust Scraping up of gum deposited on gym floors Sand floor to bare wood using coarse, medium, and fine grit sandpaper. Apply oil based gym sealer. Paint game lines and graphics Apply 2 coats of 50% solids oil base gym finish. Southwest ISD seeks contract services Gym Floor Refinishing from the award date through March 31, 2026. Work must be completed by by July 24, 2025, for all gyms--Start date for Southwest High School, Southwest Legacy High School and Crossroads/Alternative High School (formerly CAST STEM High School) gyms is June 27, 2025 and start date for McNair Middle School, McAuliffe Middle School, Scobee Middle School and Resnik Middle School gyms is June 2, 2025.
