Site work for a water / sewer project in Renton, Washington. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
CCTV inspections revealed that the 24-inch corrugated metal pipe conveying stormwater runoff from Taylor Avenue NW was in a severely deteriorated condition. Phase 1 of this project diverted public stormwater runoff to a new system extending south along Taylor Avenue NW. Phase 2 would fill the remaining portion of this pipe with flowable concrete and divert remaining private connections, including downspouts, to the existing storm system on Hardie Avenue NW or the south parking lot of the church. As of April 30, 2025, this project is included in the city's 2025-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Further information regarding a design firm has not yet been established. Design is anticipated to begin in 2026 with construction anticipated in 2028. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
