Existing roofs appear to be black fully adhered EPDM roof systems adhered to rigid insulation over an existing metal roof deck. xreroofs at the Macon Co. High School - Reroof all but the Gym and Connector and New Addition. Please quote the following reroofs at the Macon Co. Jr. High School - Reroof all except the 2021 Additions. Specifications: Completely cut thru the existing EPDM roof membrane(s) into 10' x 10' squares so water will not be trapped between the old and new roof membranes. Remove and dispose of all loose/unadhered EPDM flashings at walls and roof penetrations. Replace any damaged and/or wet insulation found with new insulation of the same size and quality. Install a layer of new 1/2" thick High Density polyisocyanurate roof insulation over the existing prepared roof surface. Attach to the existing deck per the roof membrane manufacturer. Install new treated wood blocking at the exposed roof edges to match the new insulation thickness and attach to the existing structure as required and not impede the flow of water. NOTE: DO NOT remove and/or cut any roof membrane which is greater than the roof area which can be replaced and made watertight the same day. Make watertight tie-ins between any existing and new roofs at the end of each day. Install a new fully adhered Carlisle or Elevate 60 mil EPDM roof membrane system and all accessories and flashings required to provide a complete watertight roof system. Remove and replace all wall copings, drip edges, gravel stops, gutters and downspouts. Replace with new prefinished metal wall copings, drip edges, gravel stops, gutters and downspouts. Color to be selected and approved by the owner. Quote to include the manufacturer's 20 year "NDL" (no dollar limit) watertight (labor and material) warranties. All hoisting required and all disposal of debris must be included in bidders quote. Bidder is required to include the costs of any permits required in their quote. Bidders will carry Workers Compensation and Liability insurance per State of Tennessee. Bidders must be licensed per State of Tennessee requirements.
