The County of Nevada is soliciting sealed Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from general engineering contractors (with a class A contractor license) to provide general engineering construction services for various public works projects throughout the County (from Grass Valley to Truckee, CA.) Work may include but is not limited to; earthwork and grading, concrete flatwork and structures, asphalt paving, drainage and erosion control, and utilities. The County is seeking firms that have strong skills in one or more of the five services categories described in this RFQ, with emphasis on related depth of staff resources, and experience in the applicable trade. The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to establish one Qualified List of General Engineering Contractors. Interested General Engineering Contractors must state a licensed subcontractor for any and all the trades partnering with them for work with the County (if applicable.) If no subs are declared at the time of submittal, the General Engineering Contractor must be licensed to complete the applicable trade(s) relative to the work as requested by the County as needed. The resulting Qualified List shall be valid for one year from the date of award with two (2) additional one (1) year options to renew the services. The five services categorize are as follows: General Engineering A Earthwork and Grading Concrete Flatwork and Structures (such as Drain inlets, stairs etc.) Asphalt Paving, sealing and slurry Drainage and Erosions Control Utilities (such as sewer, gas, water, electrical lines)
