Sidewalk Maintenance - Grinding & Leveling Question Deadline 05/09/2025 at 8:00 AM ET Deadline for questions, submitted on online. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities, and to disregard all non-conforming responsive or conditional bids. The City of Upper Arlington encourages all businesses, including minority and women-owned businesses to respond. The bid for the 4" concrete walkway the contractor shall include a bid price to replace, grind or meander short sections of sidewalk in accordance to the specifications. This sidewalk work is at various locations, as directed, on the streets within this contract. The panels of sidewalk being replaced, leveled, meandered or grinded may be as little as 16 square feet or as large as 25 square feet at each separate location. The panels of sidewalk that need to be meandered to avoid large tree roots will be done as directed by the City Representative. The bid price for per panel of sidewalk for this work shall include all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct an ADA compliant 4" concrete walkway (6" at driveways), including traffic control, excavation, backfill, grading and any incidental necessary to complete the work noted. Sidewalk panels that have been removed shall be replaced within 7 working days of the removal. All topsoil shall be installed within 7 days after the sidewalk panels have been installed. Any existing obstacles (fire hydrant, guy wire, tree, etc.) that must be relocated or removed by the contractor will be paid for under force account work as outlined in the contract. Also, any retaining wall installation, sprinkler line repairs, dog fence repairs, manhole adjustments, curb ramp installation will be done under force account work using the available allowances. The contractor shall be soley responsible for maintaining updated prevailing wage rate reports as issued by the State of Ohio Department of Commerce.
