The proposed work for the Replacement of the Fire Alarm System at Eastside High School includes, but is not limited to, the following: The installation of a new fire alarm system for the entire school. The project will include all new fire alarm conduit and wiring, as well as limited 120-volt wiring, ductwork patching, HVAC controls, painting and firestopping to support the new fire alarm system. Also, a new distributed antenna system is required for an emergency responder communication enhancement system (ERCES). The existing fire alarm system will need to be left functional in each building until the new system is installed. Then the existing system devices and wiring will need to be demolished. The campus will be partially occupied during the summer break and fully occupied during the school year. Construction activities will be limited to avoid disrupting normal school activities and the general contractor shall work closely and frequently with the school to schedule construction activities. Refer to notes on the construction documents about areas limited by activity. Refer to ACPS's published 2025-2026 school calendar, TIME OF COMPLETION. Time is of the essence. Task Order award will be made on June 3 rd , 2025. The Notice to Proceed will be issued shortly thereafter. The Work shall be Substantially Complete no later than two hundred ten (210) calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. Final Completion shall be sixty (60) calendar days following Substantial Completion. PAYMENT/PERFORMANCE Bonds in the form prescribed by AIA Document A312, in the amount of 100% of the Task Order amount, shall be required for quotations over $200,000. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES in the amount of $500.00 per day shall be paid by qualified Offeror to SBAC in accordance with RFP #24-27.
