Site work and paving for a road / highway in Hopewell, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The scope of this project is to upgrade an existing sidewalk along the south side of W. Randolph d. (SR 10) into a shared use path for pedestrians and bicyclists. The City would acquire right of way to expand the SUP south, provide required buffer space on either side, and perform minor utility relocations. This SUP would be 8' wide and be approximately 2150' long on EB W. Randolph Rd. from Freemont St. to Main St. Additional work would include improving the signalized intersection at N 6th Ave/W. Randolph Rd/Freemont St. and adding pedestrian crosswalks to the south side of W. Randolph Rd. at every intersection in this corridor. The project is included in the City's 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of May 5, 2025, project is funded for 2025-2027. Further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
