This project is required to maintain acceptable reliability for the ML3-AMY 72kV radial transmission line, which supplies five distribution stations from the Meadow Lake switching station. This project involved construction of approximately 64km of new 138 kV transmission line (operating at 72 kV) on an offset Right of Way (ROW) or new ROW, to replace the existing ML3 line section between Beauval Substation and Ile-a-la-Crosse Substation. The Project consists of: Two hundred and ten (210) new T61 series Self-weathering steel 138kV (operating at 72kV) structures on an offset new ROW to replace the existing ML3 line between Beauval and Ile-a-La Crosse station. Two (2) wood pole tap structures and two 72kV transformers will be installed for feeding customers. (The Work from Tap structures onwards to be done by others) Two (2) wood pole deadend structure on the existing line ML3-AMY structure 20A and ML3-ILC structure 001. Salvaging of the existing ML3-AMY wood pole transmission line. Work to be completed by others: Two wood pole structure 19A and 19B near Beavual end of the new line for interconnection to existing ML3-AMY wood pole line (to be completed by others) Replacement of 18 single wood pole structure OD to 18 (excluding CZE Breaker structure # 11) in the existing ROW near Beauval station. (To be completed by others) Three (3) T90 weathering steel structure # 228A, 2288 and 228C for interconnection to ILC substation, retermination of the conductor at ILC station (to be completed by others). Three (3) wood pole structures # ILC-OA, ILC-OB and ILC-002 for interconnection to existing ML3-ILC transmission line.
