The work will consist of the Contractor installing approximately 93,925 s.y. of a single shot and seal application, on various roads throughout the township. Notice is hereby given that the bituminous price index, in accordance with PennDOT Form 408, is applicable and in effect. The work will consist of the Contractor painting approximately 97,210 linear feet of double yellow traffic lines 47,400 l.f. of single white/yellow lines, markings for approximately eight (8) traffic light intersections in Hempfield Township. The Contractor is advised that the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage requirements will not be required since this project is considered to be maintenance. Bidder's entrance into a Contract if given the award. No Bid Bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the plans, specifications, or any applicable statutes of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or any applicable municipal ordinances. All contractors must adhere to Act 127 of 2012 (Public Works Employment Verification Act). Hempfield Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in bids received. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening The Work to be done under the Contract, as shown on the Plans and Specifications, shall include the furnishing and complete installation of all Materials and any other necessary Work required for proper completion, operation and use of the facilities. All the equipment, Materials and labor that may be necessary to complete the Work and place it in satisfactory operation, implied or intended in the Plans and Specifications, shall be furnished and/or installed by Contractor without extra cost to the Owner.
