Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Champaign, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
This project includes removing and replacing a portion of Bradley Ave from the intersection with Alpine through the intersection of Duncan Road. New ADA compliant curb ramps will be added at the intersection of Bradley Ave and Duncan Road along with other miscellaneous items necessary to complete the project. A workforce participation goal of 20% MBE and 15% WBE. Workforce participation goals refer to the percentage of minority and female individuals employed on a project. Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable form of Bid Guaranty in an amount equal to at least TEN PERCENT (10%), as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute the contract and all other Contract Documents and file acceptable contract bond and proof of insurance within fourteen (14) days after the award of the contract and prior to commencement of work. The City of Champaign, Illinois, reserves the right to reject any or all bids or portions thereof and to waive any formality or technicality in any bids in the interest of the City. The criteria for selection of the lowest responsible bidder are set forth in Section 12.5-38 of the Champaign Municipal Code, 1985, as amended and the bid documents.
