The Town of Greeneville invites qualified contractors to submit proposals for the construction of a new pocket park located in downtown Greeneville, in an area known as Eagle's Rest Pocket Park. The project will implement an existing design to create a functional, attractive, and accessible green space aesthetically pleasing that connects Main Street to the Crowfoot Alley parking lot. Questions must be submitted in writing by Friday, May 2, 2025 by 5:00 pm to Dave Wright, Architect P.O. Box 1104 Greeneville, TN 37744. All questions and answers will be shared with all known bidders The pocket park will serve as a community asset and pedestrian connector. The scope of the project includes site preparation, a concrete pathway, landscaping, site furnishings and utility infrastructure. The design documents, including plans and specifications, will be provided upon request and/or with issuance of this RFP Site Preparation and Pathway Construction o Clear and grade the site per the design documents o Install a concrete pedestrian pathway from Main Street to the Crowfoot Alley parking lot o Install concrete slab for food truck parking o Any necessary structural support or retaining features Structural Elements o Construct any retaining walls, foundations, removable bollards, or structural elements as specified in the drawings o Install entryway steel arch Utility Installation o Electrical- provide service for site lighting, including conduits, wiring, and fixture installation and potential future needs (food trucks, sound/stage) o Plumbing- install outdoor faucets or spigot connections per plans for easy access to water for irrigation of landscaping needs and future water features. Landscaping and Hardscaping o Planting of trees, shrubs, plants and installation of sod/grass per landscaping specifications o Pathway surfacing, pavers, edging, and any other decorative hard elements included in the design Site Furnishings o Provide and install benches, seating, and other amenities outlined in the documents
