The owner has established a contract performance time of thirty-seven (37) calendar days from the date of the Notice-to-Proceed for the Base Bid and forty-two (42) calendar days from the date of the Notice-toProceed for the Base Bid with Additive Alternate No. 1. All project work shall be substantially completed within the stated timeframe. This project is subject to liquidated damages as prescribed in the project manual. The time between the Notice of Award and the Notice to Proceed will be used for contract execution, submittal review and procurement of materials. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check or cashiers check on any bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, payable to St. Charles County, MO for not less than five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid, or by a bid bond secured by an approved surety or sureties, payable to the owner, for not less than five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid.
