The Borough of Wernersville Borough Council will accept sealed Proposals, in triplicate, for the 2025 Streets Project. The project includes resurfacing a portion of Hain Avenue, Fairview Street, Laurel Street, reconstruction of a portion of West Fairview Street, and patching at several locations of South Church Road. An Alternate bid for patching and repairs at the intersection of South Church Road and Lincoln Avenue. The anticipated Notice of Award date is June 4, 2025. A ten percent (10%) bid security must accompany each sealed proposal. The successful bidder will be required to place a 100% performance bond, 100% payment bond and a 100% maintenance bond with the Borough within ten (10) days of Notice of Intent to Award. Price adjustment of bituminous materials shall be per Publication 408, Section 110.04 except as specified in the Borough resolution for price adjustment of bituminous material for small quantities. Proposed Bidders shall be PennDOT Prequalified per Publication 408, Section 102.01. The Borough of Wernersville reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to reject any and all Bids, and to accept any Bid which is deemed most favorable to the BOROUGH, at the time and under the circumstances stipulated. The Borough also reserves its right, at its sole discretion, to waive any informality in the Bid, and to waive any omissions, errors, mistakes, defects or irregularities in any Bid. Borough reserves the right to delete portions of the project due to budget constraints. All work contained within the contract shall be completed by August 29, 2025. Liquidated damages shall apply to the contract for work not completed in full within the specified time period.
