ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS/RESPONDENTS ARE HEREBY CAUTIONED NOT TO CONTACT ANY MEMBER OF THE CITY OF OSHKOSH STAFF OR OFFICIALS OTHER THAN THE SPECIFIED CONTACT PERSON. M/WBE's are encouraged to participate in the bid process. A. Pickart Park Background The City is seeking proposals for modular playground equipment designs and installation for Pickart Park located at 735 Pauls Place, Oshkosh, WI 54904. The City will be responsible for excavating the equipment site, placing dense base coarse stone, and installing necessary drain tile. The City will restore the site, including finished grading and seeding, upon completion of project. The maximum budget for the Pickart Park project (including the total costs of design, install, 4' wide concrete perimeter walk with three (3) bump outs for benches, 5' wide concrete walkway connecting to where the public sidewalk will be installed by the developer, pouredin-place rubber surfacing and installation) is $250,000.00. A maximum of three proposals/designs for Pickart Park may be submitted per Proposer. B. Pickart Park Modular Playground Equipment Design Specifications o All proposals shall be fully compliant with the most current CPSC guidelines, ASTM standards and IPEMA certification. All equipment shall be compliant with the full intent of all ADA guidelines for accessibility, play components and design; o All play structures shall be constructed of steel or aluminum posts, with PVC coated steps, including all transfer points and decks. Wood shall not be permitted. Use of recycled materials is permitted; o All play structure pipe measurements must be a minimum of 3.5"; o All proposals should take into account that the new equipment will replace existing equipment and must be confined to an area no greater than approximately 60'X60' fall zone footprint and the play area surfacing shall extend a minimum of 6' from the nearest playground equipment; o All proposals should provide for youth 2-12 year olds; o The following components/features MUST BE INCLUDED within each proposal design: - Multi-generational swing - Belt and bucket swings (2 bay swing set) - Provide color charts for all equipment - Ensure all components fit in approximate 60'X60' fall zone; o The following components SHALL NOT BE INCLUDED in any proposal design: - Roofs, canopies or tunnels; o Poured-in-place rubber surfacing is required under and around all playground equipment. The thickness of the surfacing is based on the fall heights of the nearby equipment. Proposals should include cost estimate for a 50% color and 50% black surface. The surfacing must include all proper drainage bases, final grading and stone as required and must have a comprehensive warranty. Final grade must have positive drainage to the northwest corner of the project site. o Proposals must include all warranty coverage information including both moving and non-moving components. Proposals must provide comparisons between full and limited/pro-rated warranties.
