The scope of the project includes making drainage improvements, road surface preparation and roadway construction with 4-inch Minus Stone. Except as otherwise provided by law, award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, and all bidders will be advised of the bid results. A Purchase Order will be generated at the time of award without further input from the successful bidder. Awarded vendor will be sent a copy of this document and no work will be authorized until the vendor is in receipt of the Purchase Order. The Contract shall commence upon delivery of Purchase Order to Contractor (estimated to be July 1, 2025) and shall terminate on October 3, 2025. This project involves the maintenance of a 22,586-feet (4.28-miles) long section of Hollenback Road and a 1,810-feet (0.34-miles) long section of a spur road on State Game Lands (SGL) #119. The project includes clearing the road corridor, grading, pipe installation, road base construction and related work. Work Area- SGL #119 is located in southeastern Luzerne County. The east end of the project (Sta. 102+92) is located at the intersection with another PGC in the central part of the state game lands. The road project stretches west and ends at the intersection (Sta. 328+78) with a paved public road (Tunnel Road - County Road 19). Most of the project is in Dennison Township but there are short portions of the project in Fairview Township. The site is owned by the Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC). Most new drainage pipes are 15-inch diameter corrugated plastic 30-feet long. There are two pipes that are 24-inch diameter and one pipe that is 36-inch diameter. Precast concrete headwalls are to be placed on the upstream and downstream ends ofthe new pipes. Place riprap splash pads on the downstream ends ofthe new pipes.
